UPSC Eligibility Criteria 2025

Age Limit

The minimum age required for UPSC candidates is 21 years, while the maximum age for General Category applicants is 32 years. Candidates from reserved categories are granted a relaxation in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible for the UPSC Exam 2025, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution or an equivalent qualification. Applicants with professional or technical degrees, such as BE or MBBS, recognized by the government, are also considered eligible to apply.

Other Requirments

Applicant must be a:-

  • Or a refugee from Tibet that came to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of settling in India permanently.
  • Or an individual with Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African countries of Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, Kenya, the united republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, & Vietnam, with the purpose of settling permanently in India.
