Age Limit
The minimum age required for UPSC candidates is 21 years, while the maximum age for General Category applicants is 32 years. Candidates from reserved categories are granted a relaxation in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the UPSC Exam 2025, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution or an equivalent qualification. Applicants with professional or technical degrees, such as BE or MBBS, recognized by the government, are also considered eligible to apply.
Other Requirments
Applicant must be a:-

- Or a refugee from Tibet that came to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of settling in India permanently.

UPSC Prelims
The UPSC Prelims 2025 is set to take place on May 25, 2025. This initial stage consists of two objective-type papers: General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II (CSAT), with negative marking for wrong answers. To advance to the Mains exam, candidates must achieve a score above the cutoff in Paper I, while Paper II is qualifying in nature, requiring a minimum of 33% marks.

UPSC Mains
